My Story

On Saturday 1st October, I am taking part in Hell & Back in Kilruddery Estate, Bray. This is billed as Ireland’s toughest mental and physical endurance challenge and is a great way to get dirty on a Saturday morning!

We are organizing for a group of RVEEH staff, family and friends to take part in support of Orbis Ireland. Orbis Ireland is dedicated to the eradication of trachoma in Southern Ethiopia, a devastating but preventable cause of blindness. Orbis International is the provider of both the famous Flying Eye Hospital and Cybersight, an invaluable training resource for all Ophthalmic professionals throughout the world.

Sight is one of our most valuable senses, the ability to work in the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital, helping provide treatment and care to people losing sight is something that means a lot to me. I am proud to take part in this event and help Orbis deliver sight saving care to the people of Ethiopia.
